A Montana Engagement
Hi y’all! I figured I would share my engagement photos here, to get you a little familiar with myself. I had taken our own engagement photos at the tail end of our Montana trip in June 2024. We had bounced around to a few different campgrounds to get a good feel of GNP. Our last campground (and arguably our most favorite) was Two Medicine. The mountains were right in front of us. Surrounded by a lake and streams, it was the perfect spot to end our trip.
A little back story on our relationship- Preston and I first met back in 2022 through mutual friends. It took a few months of us being friends, that eventually bloomed into a beautiful relationship. We both have a shared love for the outdoors, especially the west. Preston had never been out West before he met me, so in the summer of 2023 we ventured out to Montana and Wyoming together. Preston loves to fly fish, and I love to meditate, take photos and ride horses (I have tried to fly fish, but have always come up short lol).
While planning our 2024 Montana trip, we wanted to try out a few different campgrounds around GNP. We spent a weeklong trip driving from Jackson Hole WY all the way to GNP in 2023, and wanted to spend more time there in 2024. The weather was perfect. Not a single rainy, gloomy day. I like to pack a couple of film camera’s with me to document our trip. A Canon Elan film camera and a Canon 310xl super8 camera helped showcase the beauty of Montana.
We went back to the West side of GNP to fly fish and sight see. Although it brought good memories, we liked the East side of GNP a bit more. The West side is definitely more family friendly, where the East side feels more secluded and remote. If you ever need any advice with GNP hit me up, we know a decent amount with our two trips out there :)

There is a ton of wildlife in GNP. Mountain goats, bears, moose, and lots of deer. There is always something running around. We came across a bear on our horseback ride in East GNP. It was right in front of us on the trail, we all yelled out to scare it away. The 2 hour horseback rides are perfect in my opinion, they don’t feel too rushed and you get to see a decent amount of views. Also, Saint Mary’s Lodge was so gorgeous, I can only imagine what a wedding would look like there (I do travel for weddings ;)
On our last camping day, Preston and I had planned to take some professional photos out there on a tripod and my camera I use for photo shoots. He was fly fishing in a nearby stream while I got ready in one of the campground bathrooms.
We took a few photos and videos, then he proposed :,) The sweetest proposal. Caught up in the emotions of it all, I forget what he said, but something along the lines of how much he loves me and how happy I make him <3
We went back to Kalispell the next day before our flight back home. A very memorable trip! Super excited to marry my best friend this August<3 <3 <3
